CAD/Mechanical Design
Mechanical construction requires deep technical understanding and problem solving at a high level. cDynamics has a team of experts with experience from military equipment, marine vessels, steel structures and composites. We can lead or assist projects from the first sketches, through CFD and FEM analysis, and technical drawings and revisions.
Concept/development and analysis
cDynamics can take ideas and materialize them in sketches and CAD models. This gives flexibility for doing analysis and changes if must be.
CFD and FEM analysis allows for product development with low cost. It allows us to tweak performance in the right direction and thus avoiding unnecessary iterations.
Technical drawing
Technical drawings contain information of how parts are constructed. Such drawings need to be precise to convey the necessary information from the designers to the manufacturer.
cDynamics produces technical documents with high precision to our costumers needs.
Visualisation
Product visualisation can help communicate an idea that is to be set to life or even be used as advertisement for products. Rendering gives an accurate description of how products will look with the given material in realistic light settings.
cDynamics offer product visualisation using image rendering software to convert CAD models into images or animations with photorealistic accuracy.
Workshop
The cDynamics workshop was established in 2021 and enables us to produce a wide range of composite materials. Here we produce test specimens or prototypes for material qualification and product development projects. The workshop enables us to deliver a complete set of composite material development services combining the worlds of hands-on practical experience with in-depth academic knowledge. The workshop facilities are designed for multiple composite production techniques, including hand lay-up, vacuum infusion and pre-preg methods. Controlled curing can be performed at temperatures up to 200 °C.
Fire tests
cDynamics have several years of experience in defining composite materials layups for marine industry and especially within the IMO High- speed code (HSC2000) and Fire Test Procedures Code (FTP Code). Material development projects with respect to fire properties are performed in collaboration with RISE – Research Institute of Sweden.
Structural Testing
Defining the right material test programs is a vital part of quality assurance working with composite materials. cDynamics have vast experience with strength test programs and can support in all steps from initial program definition to back-calculation of material properties and as-built testing. Testing of standardized tests are performed at CTL – Composites Testing Laboratory, Ireland.
Sometimes the item to be tested does not fit into an universal test machine and cDynamics can assist in these kind of situations. A typical custom component test includes use of hydraulics jacks for load applications and custom instrumentation such as displacement sensors and strain gauges for monitoring and logging results. Custom testing is performed in cooperation with MIL – Mechatronics Innovation Lab in Grimstad, Norway.
